Lonesome Pete Bio
Foot stompin' Blues
Lonesome Pete is a one man blues act based in Whitehead, Co Antrim in Northern Ireland and has been called Northern Ireland’s answer to Seasick Steve. Continually writing his own material and playing a mix of blues standards along with his guitar and drum driven original songs that promise to get those feet stomping. No stranger to the local music scene Pete has many years gigging experience playing in pubs/clubs/festivals throughout the country.
2021 seen the release of Lonesome Pete's live studio 6 track album of original songs called The Devils Deal. The album continues to get good reviews and airtime.
Semi finalist in the 2021 UK Songwriting contest shows the the songwriting ability of Lonesome Pete.
Playing a range of guitars from a handmade one string diddley bow, 3 string handmade acoustic, 3 string hub cap guitar, 6 string resonator guitar, 6 and 12 string acoustics all held down with the Lonesome Pete footdrum.
June 2026 seen Lonesome Pete's album The Devils Deal played on the airwaves of Paul Edmunds The Blues Show. Also pick of the week on Ian McKenzies Blues Radio UK. Pick of the month by the UK Independant Blues Broadcasters Association,and coming in at number 17 on the IBBA Top 40 Chart.
A new album of original material is being recorded in late June 2026
